Who will play Varsity versus JV in the games?
The best players based on a meritocracy will comprise the Varsity roster. Any player, regardless of school year, is eligible to earn a role on the Varsity squad. The meritocracy is based on a number of factors – skills, condition, teamwork, practice discipline, and off-field conduct. This will not vary much from game to game after the first few games of the season. Not all players who dress for a Varsity game will play. Some will play only in special situations. Regarding seniors, they are only eligible for the Varsity team. Due to size and development considerations, we will not insert a senior into the JV lineup. They will dress for all Varsity games and their playing time must be earned as described above.
