Who will pay for environmental cleanup of sites within each of the Sale Parcels?
The environmental cleanup responsibilities for Parcels I and III will be retained by the Government and the environmental sites will be conveyed to the Winning Bidder(s) of the Sale Parcels via a Lease in Furtherance of Conveyance (LIFOC) until the remediation is completed, at which point the property will be conveyed in FEE to the Winning Bidder at that time. Sale Parcel II is CERFA clean and there are no costs/remediation responsibilities expected of the Winning Bidder.
