Who will own and control ARWAs new research facilities?
A. These facilities will be owned and controlled by the Department of Agriculture and Food, not ARWA. Whilst ARWA will benefit greatly from the collocation of DAFWA’s researchers with their counterparts at Curtin, Murdoch and UWA, the decision to establish the facilities needed to allow such collocation forms part of DAFWA’s wider commitment to relocating from its current South Perth headquarters. DAFWA will also be establishing new facilities for its non-research, South Perth staff – most likely on the campus of Murdoch University. The relocation program – for both research and non-research staff is being managed by DAFWA by way of a series of bilateral agreements between the Department and each of the universities.
