Who will lead Ohio like Thomas Jefferson – Kasich or Strickland?
Thomas Jefferson understood the importance of making progress “one step at a time.” Jefferson said, “To do our fellow men the most good we must lead where we can and follow where we cannot. But we must still go with them watching always for the moment we can help them move forward another step.”* There is much we need to change with Ohio’s tax system, which the Tax Foundation ranks as the 4th most economically destructive among the 50 states, trailing only New Jersey, New York, and California. Ohioans are voting with their feet: a net of 500,000 people moved out of Ohio over the past 12 years (Census Bureau). It will be impossible to accomplish everything at once, so don’t try–but Ohio must start to change, or continue to wither away.
