Who will emerge winner on Super Tuesday?

As the Republican and Democratic voters, along with independents get ready for the Super Tuesday of March 7, there are different messages coming out of the four campaigns. First, the nomination process is not over yet. Second, that the intensity leading up to the March 7 primaries and beyond will continue. Third, that there could be “surprises” along the way. Finally, that when push comes to shove, if one candidate gets the party nomination, the other will campaign for him. The last of these, of course, from a Republican point of view, is a qualified one. On the Republican front, after an intense battle in New York reaching out to the party members, independents, and Democrats likely to cross over, both the “front-runner,” Mr. George Bush and Mr. John McCain have moved over to California, the biggest “prize” of all on Super Tuesday.
