The NRCS will assist farmers in determining water needs when the water management plan is developed and make a recommendation. The landowner will make the final management decisions. • Will a landowner have to buy water from the irrigation district? If so, how much? For each acre of irrigated land, landowners will have the opportunity to purchase up to 1.5 acre-feet of water.
