The Department of Lands will determine environmental issues upon receipt of an application to close / purchase through: • Public consultation (advertising) • Reference to relevant authorities (eg Council, RLPB, Fisheries NSW, State Forests). • Reference to adjoining landholders who may be affected by the proposed road closure. • Covenants may be applied to protect environmental attributes and these will be determined by the Minister. • Applicants will be advised of the terms of any covenants as part of road closing / purchase process.
