Bangalorean Nandita Joshi now lives in Goa, works out every day, loves sandblasted jeans, and chats with her two-year-old grandson on the webcam. And she and her husband want to keep it that way. “All these years, we looked after our own children and never had time for ourselves,” says Narain Joshi, a retired civil engineer. So last year, the couple headed for their holiday home in Goa to spend retirement doing what they’ve always dreamed of – walking on the beach and enjoying life. “If we had stayed back with our children and grandson in Bangalore, our responsibilities would never have ended,” he says.
