Who will be the next WWE champion?
Well, Cena has been champion for a long time. Hell, he’s been champion for as long as I’ve been writing this column. Betting against him never seems like a good idea. Still, there are some likely candidates for the next champ. I mean, Cena’s going to have to lose the belt eventually. First off, we’ve got Orton, the next challenger to Cena. The length of this feud might have you believe that this Cena/Orton thing is going somewhere, and that somewhere would be a title change. Orton is the top heel of Raw, and since the man who’ll beat Cena will probably beat him with shenanigans, Orton is a pretty likely candidate. Then again, there’s always the chance that the WWE has no real problems with having Cena completely destroy Orton. Orton does have a history of being somewhat unreliable. Compare that to Cena, who has been the WWE’s golden child for some time now. Is the WWE willing to risk giving someone as unstable as Orton the title?
