Who will be the next president of Poland?
According to the Constitution of Poland, the Speaker of Parliament Bronislaw Komorowski President replaces Lech Kaczynski who died in a plane crash near Smolensk. The law gives him 14 days to appoint early presidential elections. Elections must be held not later than 24 June this year. Only one of the leading Polish political parties has determined presidential candidate: Civic Platform, led by Prime Minister Donald Tusk, nominated Sejm Marshal B. Komorowski. Probably that and the twin brother of the deceased president, the leader of the right-wing Law and Justice, Jaroslaw Kaczynski will take part in these elections.
