With Prof. L. Joga Rao laying down office of the Rector last month on attaining age of super annuation, the race is on among the senior professors of the university to get the post. It is learnt that one of the Principals of the campus colleges whose term as Principal is coming to an end soon, is being considered for the post. Fate of nuclear medicine students Andhra University administration has written to the Atomic Energy Regulatory Board regarding recognisng its M.Sc. (nuclear medicine) course introduced last year. AU decided to discontinue the course as it found that providing the required faculty and infrastructue is not possible. Meanwhile the students who joined the course in the hope of a bright future, found themselves in a no man’s land.
