Who will be the best #1 hitter this year?
Well there’s different ways of looking at this: Batting average, or home runs. So I’ll give both! Average: Miguel Cabrera, Florida Marlins Last Year: .339 AVG, 2nd in NL and 5th in MLB Predicted: .348 AVG, NL Batting Champ I think since he is a big part of that Marlins lineup, he has to produce. Plus, he’s just straight up talented with great contact, great power, and decent speed. He’s no Figgins or Ichiro, but he has good speed. Home Runs/RBI’s: (going out on a limb) Andruw Jones, Atlanta Braves Last Year: 41 HR, 6th in NL and 10th in MLB 129 RBI, 4th in NL and 6th in MLB Predicted: 53 HR, 151 RBI Jones was on a tear all season, especially at the end of the year and I think that will carry over to this year.
