The Department of Livestock, through $2.4 million secured from the State of Montana’s General Funds, will pay for the brucellosis testing conducted since January 13, 2009 as outlined in the Action Plan. $370,000 is available until July 1, 2009 to reimburse producers who had already completed and paid for the brucellosis testing between January 13, 2009 and May 14, 2009. Producers may download the Producers Reimbursement Form. Producers will also need to submit a completed W-9 form and receipts, test charts, or other documentation of tests performed. Brucellosis testing done between July 1, 2008 and January 12, 2009 may also be reimbursed if funds are still available. Producers are encouraged to submit the reimbursement forms before July 1. The DOL will be reimbursing veterinary practitioners ($12.00/head) or auction market veterinarians ($7.50/head in addition to $1.00/head chute fee) directly for testing done after May 14, 2009.
