The Rose Bowl Game will host the champion of the Pac-10 Conference against the champion of the Big Ten conference, unless these champions are rated either No. 1 or No. 2 in the final BCS standings. If either champion leaves the Rose Bowl Game for the NCG, the Tournament of Roses will be permitted to select a replacement for the departing team.
