Who will be for sure on the San Jose Sharks team next season?
My thoughts: Thornton – obviously staying. Cheechoo – staying, had a good season even though not as good as the year before Michalek – staying, young and talented Marleau – I’d say 50/50. Talented but his contract ends after next season (as does Thornton) and it may be time to get a new leader and improve elsewhere Guerin – gone, free agent and did nothing in the playoffs Bell – likely staying unless they get a good offer. His trade value is too low to move him right now. May be better next season if legal issues resolve Brown – staying because of his pk skills and experience but will be pushed for playing time Grier – obviously staying, can we clone him? Rissmiller – is good at pk but isn’t great anywhere else and will get pushed by a youngster Goc – staying, Wilson likes him and he played well in the playoffs. May be a spare part next season if he doesn’t score more Clowe – staying, up and coming power forward Bernier – possible trade bait since Setoguchi is on his way and we have Cl
