Who will be able to use the MCC@Home service?
MCC faculty and staff who have a PC running Windows 98SE, ME, 2000, XP home, XP pro or Vista and a basic internet service provider. A broadband Internet connection (i.e. Road Runner or Lighting Link) is recommended for connections to the M: drive file sizes can be large and take a long time transferring over a dial-up connection. Dial-up services are OK for connections to the mainframe. Note: America Online installs a network client that can interfere with the VPN software on windows 98 and ME, it is not recommended to use the MCC@Home VPN client with this internet service provider. This applies to dial-up, and the broad-band service from AOL.
