Who/what started Halloween?
The Druids (a cult) used to celebrate the coming and going of the dead spirits. The catholics didn’t like this, so they created a holiday to combat it called all saints day. Well, it wasn’t always called that. They used to call it the Hallowed day. They celebrated all the catholic saints that day. They got ready for it the night before, on October 31, which eventually became known as Hallow’s eve. From there, it evolved into the modern Halloween. WE dress up and take candy because of the Druids, They believed in the spirits, and that by calling upon them, they would be blessed and recieve spiritual gifts of sorts.
