Who were the three wise men from the East who came to visit baby Jesus?
There probably weren’t only three. The 3 traditions come from the 3 particular gifts that were mentioned. These men arrived when the boy was a toddler and not a baby as tradition also exists. They were lead to him by means of revelation from God. They were truly inspired men. The gifts that they provided would have helped the family remain in Egypt while they avoided that lunatic Herald. The monetary value of those gifts where a great blessing to that young family. Obviously, those men were not from the tribe of Judah existing in Jerusalem. The Lord had other sheep, not of that fold who too knew of the importance and reality of this little boy.
