Actually, the first EUROPEAN COLONY IN AMERICA was San Gabriel, which was established about 1540 and which was located on what is now the Georgia Gulf Coast and established by the group from the De Soto Expedition. They lived there for about a year before moving on west to meet the supply ship which never showed up. When are you people going to realize there were SPANISH colonies being lived in for YEARS before Jamestown was established. AmeriKan history is WRONG… it’s so England centric and the English came YEARS after the Spanish, but these “facts” are always quoted because most AmeriKans don’t have a CLUE about the Spanish settlement of Amerika… from FLORIDA to the PACIFIC OCEAN…
