Who were the first artists inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame?
Many of the artists (especially the blacks, but also whites) didn’t realize when they signed up with record labels that they could lose royalties (extra money) and that they did. Even the movie ‘Ghost’ with Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze where the Righteous Bros. sung the theme song lost royalties on that song. Every time a song is played on the radio, TV, in a movie the artist should get royalties off it. Now, with the Hall of Fame many of the music artists are fighting for the ‘oldies but goodies’ of Rock ‘N’ Roll which made it all happen.
