Who were the boys enlisted in the Hitler Youth?
They were primarily from affluent German families, good students, and those who followed the rules. The Boy Scouts and other youth organizations in Germany were abolished soon after the Nazis came to power, and their members were used to form the first ranks of the Hitler Youth. Needless to say, they would have to be of pure German stock.
