The Tao Jones Index was the name chosen by David and his band for two secret gigs. The first one at The Factory Studios in Ringsend, Dublin on May 17th 1997, which served as the warm up / rehearsal for his 1997 Earthling World Tour. The second performance billed as the Tao Jones Index was held at The Phoenix Festival, Stratford-upon-Avon, England on 19th July 1997, held in the Radio One dance tent. The show was a complete drum ‘n’ bass set.
