The UFL Draft is tonight. It started at 6:30 pm. We don’t know exactly how it will work, other than the fact that it will be unlike any other draft you have ever known. You can get updates through the evening from UFL President Michael Huyghue on his Twitter account. The odd part about it is that several teams have already started dealing with players. Michael Vick has reportedly already received an offer from the Orlando team, JP Losman supposedly has one from the Las Vegas team, and other teams have already made proposals to other players. So who’s eligible? Anyone, I guess. At least anyone who doesn’t already have a better gig elsewhere. Will the UFL announce the draft results? We don’t even know that yet. It should be interesting to see how this league shakes out. So far, it looks like they’re doing a lot of things right. They’re picking up some decent coaching and 2nd-tier talent, and they’re cooperating with the NFL rather nicely. Maybe there’s hope for this league after all… w
