Who were Rose Bukater and Jack Dawson?
Rose DeWitt Bukater and Jack Dawson were the main characters in the movie Titanic (1997). Rose DeWitt Bukater is an 17 years old when she boards Titanic with her mother, Ruth DeWitt Bukater, and her fiance, Caledon Hockley. Rose, though not in love with Cal, is being forced to marry him in an arranged marriage by Cal and her mother, Ruth. Ever since Rose’s father’s death she and her mother have been in debt hidden by the Hockley family. They expect that marrying into to money to fix these problems. Rose is tired of her repetitive first class lifestyle and attemps to commit suicide by throwing herself of the end of the boat but, she never ends up throwing herself off the ship thanks to the persuading of Mr. Jack Dawson. As Rose starts coming back over the rail, helped by Jack, she slips and falls but, is saved again by Mr. Dawson.
