Who were Dhrastdyumn and Draupadi in Mahabharat?

0

In the epic Mahābhārata, Draupadi is the adopted daughter of King Drupada of Panchāla and the wife of the five Pandavas. King Drupada of Panchala had been defeated by the Pandava prince Arjuna on behalf of Drona, who subsequently took half his kingdom to humiliate him. To gain revenge on Drona, he performed a fire-sacrifice to obtain a means of besting him. Draupadi emerged, as a beautiful dark skinned young woman, together with her brother Dhrishtadyumna from the sacrificial fire. Thus Draupadi & Dhrishtadyumna can be termed as brother & sister, though both were not born in conventional methods…both were born by divine means i.e., out of the Yagna-Kund… Draupadi is also called as Krshna (dark-complexioned) and Panchali (one from the kingdom of Panchal)…She is one of the most important & influential female characters in the Mahabharata…After the Kurukshetra war, Yudhistir & Draupadi are crowned as the King & Queen of Hastinapur…She lives till a ripe old age & ascends directly
