Who Wears Corcoran II Jump Boots?
Before I ever joined the military I saw a Paratrooper in his Class A uniform with Corcoran Jump boots and a beret. I remember thinking how sharp he looked in his highly polished boots, medals, beret and strack uniform. When I joined the U.S. Army I told the recruiter I wanted to be a paratrooper and a Green beret. Yeah I was young, cocky and clueless. I thought Green Beret was an MOS. They were highly trained and looked sharp. One of the first things I purchased when I joined the Army was a pair of Corcoran II Jump Boots and a pair of Jungle boots. I would wear the boots once in a while with my BDU’s to get them broke in. You can only wear Jump Boots with your Class A uniform if you are assigned to an Airborne / Ranger / Special Forces unit and jump at least once a month or are serving in a combat zone. After graduating from the Army Airborne school you are even more proud to wear these boots with your Class A’s. The school is difficult and more than a few don’t make it. Ha
