Lawson won a record contract with Warner Bros. Records, to be produced by John Rich, and will perform live from the Summer Olympics in Beijing on August 12, to be telecast on NBC’s “Today.” Lawson took the prize over another popular favorite, fellow Texan classic country singer Gabe Garcia and Iowa small town girl, Shawn Mayer. Lawson and Garcia sang a duet on stage after Mayer was eliminated. The show ended with Lawson performing her debut single “What if it All Goes Right” (produced by John Rich), which will be released to country radio tomorrow (August 5).
