The Blackfoot Police Department arrested Epifanio Dearcos, Sr., and charged him with felony aggravated battery after ten days of investigating the killing. Police said the victim, Robert A. Padilla, and the murder suspect, Courtney Payan, were supposed to fist fight on Memorial Day. During the altercation, Dearcos hit Padilla in the back with pipe, rendering him unable to protect himself. That is when Payan brought a knife and stabbed Padilla. Dearcos was arrested Thursday night. The police department said detectives from the Blackfoot/Bingham County Detective Division worked 12 to 15 hour days since the murder. They have conducted 71 interviews, executed 12 search warrants and performed three c

BLACKFOOT – A third man is arrested in connection with the stabbing death of Robert Padilla in Blackfoot. 59-year-old Epifanio Dearcos Sr. is charged with felony aggravated battery.
