Babbitt was born on the 27th of June 1938 in Los Angeles California. He studied at the University Of Notre Dame and later at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. He also received a degree in law from the Harvard Law School. Babbitt also had trouble with Native Indians and environmentalists in Arizona over the Snow bowl Ski resort. He has also written a book “Cities in the Wilderness: A New Vision of Land Use in America”.
