The current oldest living person in the UK is Henry Allingham born June 6 1896 and at 111 is the oldest living person, the oldest surviving WW1 veteran (of which there are only four), the last survivor of the Battle of Jutland, the last survivor of the Royal Naval Air Service and the last surviving founder of the Royal Air Force. He credits his long life to “cigarettes, whisky and wild, wild women…..and a good sense of humour”. God bless him and may he have many more years. A true hero.
