Who was the most famous Serial killer of all time?
Jack the Ripper. Serial Killer of prostitues in London in 1888. He killed about 5 women, but is well known because of the mystery surrounding it all and the fact that he was never caught. The other Jack is Peter Sutcliffe who murdered 13 women in northern England in the seventies and early eighties. He was also known as the Yorkshire Ripper after sending tapes to the police calling himself Jack. Harold Shipman killed hundreds of old ladies when he was a doctor and they were under his care. Fred West killed an unknown number of women. However these were all British. There is a Russian one and I can’t remember his name, who killed hundreds of children. The guy who is ‘responsible’ for killing the most people is actually someone who invented something that unknowingly added a great deal to the hole in the ozone layer. However, in Britain, if most people are asked to name a serial killer, I reckon it would be Jack the Ripper.
