Who was the inventor of Velcro?
The inventer of velcro was a man called George De Mestral. He thought of the idea in 1948 when he was taking his dog for a walk. This may seem weird but it was because his dog got sticky burrs on its fur, when George was taking them off his dog, he noticed the burrs had hooks all over it, so it could stick to things. This gave George the idea of having hooks on one part of velcro and fuzzy material on another.
