Who was the greatest Emperor in the history of China?
My vote goes to Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty for his significant contributions that has a major impact on chinese / world history and development. 1. The opening up of the Silk Road that enabled economic and cultural exchange from China to Rome, east to west and vice versa. 2. The adoption of Confucianism as the primary doctrine of imperial rule. This was later adopted by the Korean and Japanese imperial courts. The impact of Confucianism is so ingrained in Chinese society that it is difficult to imagine China without it. 3. The creation of the Han ppl as we know. Han chinese were made up of different tribes to begin with. That’s why there is a lot of diversity within the Han even today. However, these ppl came together under Emperor Wu’s rule and identified themselves under one tribe. 4. The defeat of the Xiongnus to the north. One theory is that these Xiongnus migrated west and became the Huns. What the Huns did to Europe is another history… not fully proven of course, I’d tune in
