Who was the first buddha?
Shakyamuni Buddha was the first Buddha to appear in this world’s lifetime. The world will come to an end when we eventually wipe each other out, which eventually takes place when there is no Buddha Dharma existing at all and probably when all other religions that teach good deeds are completely gone, in which we’ll have no teachings of good deeds to keep us from killing each other off. At that time, the world will end, and will start again–thus signifying the “next world” and “new lifetime” of the world. That is when The World Honored Future Buddha, Maitreya Bodhisattva, will appear to this world and do what Siddartha did and teach the Buddha Dharma. Before Shakyamuni Buddha, the same cycle has been occuring for incalculable aeons. Before Siddhartha/Shakyamuni Buddha, there have been countless Buddhas as well. Though I don’t know how many Buddhas have appeared on earth, but there have been incalculable Buddhas before Shakyamuni Buddha that taught and appeared in other worlds. To illus
