Einstein and Hawkins would be the two that pretty much every layman has heard of with Leonardo DiVinci coming close in popularity, but for art much less people know him for his science. Telsa is a popular one with Edison up there too. Certain circles would have plenty of others. Marie Curie was one of the most famous female chemists who discovered radiation. The unfortunate thing is that today most scientists are employees of either a corporation or a university and thus their discoveries are property of those institutions with them getting little recognition outside of their respective circles.
