Who was the better Prime Minister: Brian Mulroney or John G. Diefenbaker?

John Diefenbaker came to power in 1957, and introduced the Canadian Bill of Rights (which then was enshrined into the consitution by Trudeau as the Charter of Rights), fought for Canada’s attachment to the royal family, and the Red Ensign. Some of his weak points were that he had to cancel the Avro Arrow due to lack of funding, and he was backstabbed by party members on the nuclear warheads issue. Mulroney introduced the FTA and NAFTA, and he also created the GST and tried to bring Quebec into the constitution with Meech and Charlottetown, both of which failed.
