Who was right, Lynyrd Skynyrd or Neil Young?
no one was really right or wrong, it was a difference of opinion…one thing about neil young is if he sees something that he feels the need to write songs about, he does it regardless of what others might think of him, just look at his direct attack on then-president nixon in the csny song ohio…in this case, neil wrote about what he felt was social injustice in the south, ronnie van zant disagreed and wrote a tongue-in-cheek response which would become sweet home alabama…there was no bad blood, nothing of any importance to come from this besides a classic all-american song
