While many people may be confused with the sun-sky mother/earth father motif in Egypt rather then the one we are more familiar with in the modern era and with the majority of other ancient religions (sun-sky father/earth mother) we must remember that in the very earliest religions, the Goddesses were far more important and powerful than the male Gods (Women give birth=source of life=more important to the survival of the species than men, at least in that era).
