Guest5071 Foreigner when come to climb Mount Everest, they will have to take a climbing guide and sherpa for their climbing. The Sherpas will trace out and make the way upto the Top. So, therefore, Tenzing Norgay Sherpa was the first to set foot on Mount Everest. However, both are the first climber of Mt. Everest.
