Who was Evelyn Waugh?
Evelyn Waugh is one of the twentieth-century’s great novelists who lived from 1903 until 1966. He was born in England, and although he is known for being a novelist, his first published work was actually a biography of Dante Rossetti. The works of Evelyn Waugh include Sword of Honour, Decline and Fall, A Handful of Dust and Scoop. He also wrote numerous short stories, further biographies of Saint Edmund Campion and Ronald Knox. Evelyn Waugh also began an autobiography but this was never completed. The works of Evelyn Waugh are famous for dealing with the aristocracy of the time and capturing the decadence of the era.
