For an initial foray into VAJ, I found this tutorial much easier to follow than anything else I’ve seen. The tutorial includes 10 major lessons, and completing the first two (To Do List and Subcomponents) will give you a good understanding of how JavaBeans are manipulated using the Visual Composition Editor in VAJ. I can’t recommend the other lessons as highly, and the “who needs programmers” attitude is a bit off-putting, but this tutorial will go a long way toward making developers comfortable using VAJ. Take the tutorial online, or download all 10 lessons: (If you take the tutorial online, the 10 lessons aren’t clearly delineated on the Table of Contents page. The first two lessons that I’ve recommended begin with “What a Concept” and end with “Using Layout Managers.”) http://www7.softw
