Who was Cardinal Newman?
Cardinal John Henry Newman was a 19th century scholar and religious leader in England. His name is associated with Campus Ministry on secular College/University campuses throughout the world. Newman Centers got their start on campuses in 1893 as a service to students at the University of Pennsylvania. As an approach to both the needs of the student body and service to the campus, it has developed rapidly! They now serve all students, faculty/staff, administration and alumni.
