Metro FM talk show host Cassandra Kananda’s loud mouth is biting the hand that feeds it – and it’s hitting her deep in her pocket. The Positive Talk presenter and motivational speaker (pictured) is facing a R300000 lawsuit after she allegedly lied while giving an interview to this paper. Centurion Akademie, a private school at which Kananda’s daughter was training to be a chef, filed the lawsuit last month. In the court papers, which are in our possession, the school claims Kananda was economical with the truth when she told Sunday World she had been shocked to discover her daughter was being taught in Afrikaans at the school. Sunday World is in possession of the summons that was sent to Kananda. It states Kananda falsely represented the school, as their medium of instruction is English. The summons also states Kananda defamed the school by saying her daughter was taught in Afrikaans.
