During the 1980’s, two tight-ends would be the standard-bearers by which all tight-ends would be measured. Kellen Winslow of the San Diego Chargers, and Ozzie Newsome of the Cleveland Browns, were a constant topic of discussion among NFL fans as to who was better. Winslow was a 5 time Pro-Bowler, 4 time All-Pro, member of the 1980’s All-Decade Team, member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and the first tight-end in history to lead the NFL in catches in both 1980 and 1981.
