Who was affected by the alleged price-fixing activities?
The identity and number of students affected by the alleged price-fixing is not known. This is because a number of factors like the unavailability of receipts, the increasing purchase of used textbooks, and the purchase of new textbooks from other retailers (e.g. on-line booksellers) make it nearly impossible to determine who may have been affected by the alleged activities. Thats why IUPUI has developed a restitution plan that provides a credit to all students enrolled (based on student census figures) during the period in question Summer Session II, 2001 through Fall 2002.
