Under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), EPA requires training for workers that manage or handle hazardous waste at accumulation points. Under the Hazardous Materials Transportation Act, DOT requires training for all hazmat employees. Companies that don’t train their employees are subject to stiff penalties. Training is available at hundreds of sites across the country on these requirements and others.
