Who usually pays the HOA transfer and document fees?
Typically all transfer fees are the responsibility of the buyer and doc prep is split between buyer and seller. Still, I have never heard of an HOA transfer fee and wonder if your mortgage broker is simply padding his fees. I suggest you talk to your “soon to be” neighbors and see what they did when they bought their property!
