Who uses the Map of Medicine?

Informing Healthcare has purchased a licence for all clinicians and NHS staff in Wales, including ‘contractor professions’ such as GPs, to use Map of Medicine. In addition, there is a programme of work within a number of health communities to customise content within the local version of Map of Medicine to reflect national and local practice. There is an NHS Wales view plus seven local views based on Health Board boundaries. The tool is not restricted to organisational boundaries. It is guided by the local clinicians, and health teams are locally-defined in user communities across primary and secondary care. This makes the tool ideal for work on service re-configuration that spans traditional organisational boundaries.
