Esopus Meadows Lighthouse The Esopus Meadows Lighthouse which stands in the Hudson River near Kingston, New York was built in 1871 and is one of the last remaining functional woodframe lighthouses in the U.S. This precious maritime treasure which once served as home for a lighthouse keeper and his family has been saved by the efforts of a group of dedicated volunteers whose goal is to open the lighthouse to tourists. Fine Paints of Europe has enthusiastically supported the restoration of the Esopus Meadows Lighthouse since 2001 with donations of Dutch primers and paints.
