Who uses a SGD?
Individuals who cannot speak, are difficult to understand, or have language retrieval issues might use a SGD. Communication devices are used by people of all ages with a variety of disabilities. An individual with a communication impairment may have difficulty with expressive (what he or she can express) and/or receptive (what he or she understands) communication.
